When I was little, my dad formulated an argument about dividing by one:
Take a donut. Cut it in one spot. It is neither a donut, nor two halves of a donut. Therefore n/1 != n. He never really specified what dividing by one did.
Today I think I finally figured out why I disagreed with him.
In elementary school most children are taught to regard division as grouping--which is what it is, really. If you take a group of people and divide it in two, you dont cut every person in half.
So take your donut. Put it in one group.
You have one group of one donut.
Therefore, n/1 = n.
Further, why is it necessary to cut the donut at all? And, if you decided to divide it once more
(n/1)/1 = ?
Would you cut the donut in the same place, or somewhere else on the donut at random? Then you would be left with two most-likely uneven bits of donut, which, no matter how you regard math, is no form of dividing by one whatsoever.
Either way, if you decided cutting the donut was necessary, it is still one donut. An interrupted donut, yes, but the donut in quantity has not been altered. It's just semantics.
Therefore, his arguments are completely baseless (I spent hours thinking about this)!

RAPTURE! I did not know
Kristen had a comic!
*___*;; I haven't even read it yet. I'M JUST CRAZY!

I read somewhere that "comics take less braincells to read than stories". As in the written kind. Which, if you'll excuse me, is bullshit, quite honestly. Okay, so you have a lot of people who are the "WAI WAI! KAWAII~~~ ^___^~~~*** :3 XD XD" (AKA "emiko") type, and you've got your generic comics. But the same is true about fiction. I mean, it's obnoxious to say fiction is so much more sophisticated than comics. Comics are just a hybrid of art forms.... what about all the great, psychotic and/or wierd comics out there like Demonology 101, anyhting by Mark Sachs, anything by my friend Willy (I forget what you go by -_-;;), Winter, Paris is Burning (is that the title, I don't have the link...?), anything by Locke, anything by Mal....? Or BTLC for that matter, which 99% of hte people i've spoken to simply do not understand? Not to say that it's deep or meaningful particularly. It's mostly just confusing.
Plus, I must say, a lot of fiction on the net especially SUCKS. Seriously. So do lots of comics. But I digress.
BEHOLD MY DESK! IN ALL ITS TRAGIC GLORY!

Ah, BTLC is over...now people are asking me "What are you going to do next?" I'm not sure yet. If you visited BTLC regularly, switch your bookmark to this page instead, until; I decide what I'm doing anyway. Thanks to everyone who gave BTLC support, and for the readers who didn't mind me taking a break (or, well, said they didn't mind :P)
I was thinking "Ah, It will be nice to take a break from drawing comics" but what am I saying!? I haet it when I'm not drawing, and not drawing comics just doesn't seem possible for me. This year has been kinda whack, but I'm wierd, so >_< .....
As far as comics go, if you're looking for something to cling to in place of BTLC may I reccomend
Winter. My god. I don't know what it is about that comic that grabs me by the throat and doesn't let go BUT I LIKE IT. I havea love/hate relationship with hot soup's art. I feel like I shouldn't like it but it's strangely catchy. Or something. WHY AM I TALKING SO MUCH!? AIEE!
You know, I can't decide if I'm going insane, or if I'm self-aware enough to wonder that that there's now awy I could be crazy.
Either way I am in the most psychotically horrible mood ever. Well, for me, which for the rest of the world's people with real emotions means "mildly miffed". Anyhow...
